With the release of the new trailer for Independence Day : Resurgence this week, news has come to light that Will Smith as Col. Steven Hiller will be a playable game character.


Fans were in uproar over the weekend, with the announcement that Will Smith’s character, Steven Hiller will not feature in the upcoming sequel to the alien franchise that smashed Box Office records back in 1996.

What was not mentioned however is that Will Smith signed a deal with 20th Century Fox to allow fans to play as him in the up-coming game with many of the other characters also available.

Shit Casual has not only learned about Will Smith in the game, but also the fact that you will be able to play as the Alien Horde to take on and conquer the earth.

The game, which has not yet had its release date or title confirmed is set to release sometime after the movie has left the cinemas and is expected to be set on both Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.

Much excitement now surrounds the fact that you will once again be able to defeat the alien horde while playing as Colonel Steven Hiller and the fact that at least in the gaming universe, he did not end his days test piloting a earth-alien piece of trash.
